Broken Sword 5 – The Serpent’s Curse heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

London – 8th June 2015. Revolution Software proudly announces today that an enhanced version of Broken Sword 5 - The Serpent’s Curse will release worldwide for PlayStation®4 and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, in Summer 2015.

Funded after a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign which reached its goal in just 13 days, Revolution is now working on bringing George and Nico’s latest adventure to next gen consoles. Digital versions will be published by Revolution through PlayStation Network and Xbox Games Store. Retail versions, which will include the game’s introduction as a graphic novel, will be distributed throughout Europe and EMEA by Ravenscourt.

“We are delighted to bring Broken Sword 5 to PS4 and Xbox One – with enhancements over the other versions including additional animation and audio, a character gallery section and many console-specific enhancements. The Broken Sword games have a proud history on previous PlayStation and Xbox consoles. There is such a loyal following for the Broken Sword games, as demonstrated by the 15,000 fans who backed the original Kickstarter campaign – it’s fantastic to now be able to bring the game to all those console owners who have requested that we write the game for their favourite platform” said Charles Cecil, Founder & CEO of Revolution Software.

Playing as intrepid American George Stobbart and sassy French journalist Nico Collard, players will find themselves on the trail of a stolen painting – and a murderous conspiracy. A conspiracy whose roots lie in mysteries older than the written word…

In this latest explosive episode in the iconic Broken Sword series, enhanced for PlayStation®4 and Xbox One. Immerse yourself in the rich storyline and experience the very best in adventure gaming: from unique puzzles and deft subterfuge to cipher solving and time-honoured detective work.

Full English, German, French, Italian and Spanish speech, additionally with Russian and Polish subtitles

Details on the exact launch date will be posted when they become available.
